No senior pastor yet

For some reason my bro Dave and I are determined to find out and the powers that be are just as determined that we won't, the prospective pastor who visited us last week will not be joining us at the Caldwell church. All we know, or think we know, is that the decision was on "our" side, not his.

I was looking forward to having Tom Toews as our senior pastor and will always have a hunch he would have done well as our shepherd and spiritual leader.

Don Klinger from the conference office told me they really believe that involving the board is a wonderful idea so will continue in that mode. Seems to me that finding a pastor who would work well with both Caldwell and Middleton congregations is like trying to mix orange with blue to make red. Not that we're "better" than "they" are, but we're a lot different.
