I think a pack of thieves ambushed the calendar people coming around the bend in the last few beautiful days of summer and whooshed away the whole month of September. At least my calendar says Monday is the first day of October...
Tomorrow the church service is a piano concert. Or presentation. I think I'll sneak out because I don't hear piano tones very well any more. On the other hand, I might stick it out and just enjoy reading Scripture while the music plays in the background.
It's dark and windy a half hour before sunset. The people in the weather department say it's going to get much cooler next week. That's fine with me.
Yesterday I mowed my lawn, and my wrist hurt but not much. I think I'm making a recovery from my fall into Jump Creek that broke two bones and sent a piece of one floating in the surrounding territory of my right wrist. That wasn't so bad. It was the searing pain, day in, day out, that was wearing me out. Either I'm getting used to it after nearly four months, or it doesn't hurt as bad. Hooray!
