The battle continues. When experts say that the older you get, the harder it is to lose weight, they aren't kidding.
I decided that one problem in my weight-loss campaign is that I don't drink enough water. I don't think I'm dehydrated, and until I see a scientific study that shows how much water we need for optimal health, I'm not buying the rule of 64 ounces of water a day, and certainly not the belief that anything except pure water doesn't count.
Still, I don't drink enough water. My challenge is how to get in the habit of drinking more. I decided to try to make drinking water more enjoyable. Two days ago I bought a set of 12 beverage glasses. Fine work, they are. Made of glass, and each glass contains 17 ounces. Yesterday morning I filled a glass with filtered water and drank the whole thing. I really did! Water tastes better from a glass container. I can almost taste the plastic or the metal if I choose another kind. My water filter takes away the chlorine taste from city water.
By the end of the day I'd taken in 37 ounces of liquid.
