Christmas cactus time

I moved one of my four Christmas cactus plants from my upstairs "apartment" to my office, and it is telling me it likes the change. I think I killed one of the plants with too much sunshine. Another one from upstairs is now in my kitchen area instead of near the south window, and it is looking much better, too. Tiny buds are starting to show.

My oldest niece Arline sent an email about Thanksgiving at her place. This was not an invitation but a statement of fact. "You're coming here for Thanksgiving," she said in a matter-of-fact tone. I'm bringing olives and club soda. I offered to bring an apple to put in the mouth of the roast pig. She thought that was funny, since we're all roarin' rarin' vegetarians, and pig is for New Year's Day.

Scheduled to be there for the big day: Emily and Lia, Mandy and David, Arline and Sid, Benny, Jessica, Matthew, Orletta and Don, and me. I'm going to stay at D&O's in College Place. Dave and Miriam are spending the holiday at Deanna's, and Cliff and Lora will be at Cliff's parents' place (not sure if that's his mom's place or his dad's place.)

I'm waiting to hear from Marilyn this afternoon. She's in the area with her husband, attending a funeral for a cousin of Larry's. Probably won't have much time to spend, but any is good. She said she would call Pat so the three of us could be together a bit. I hope that works out.
