It's a Democracy

I love voting on off-year elections when only a few people show up at the polls, and my vote balloons in importance. A total of about 2,763 people voted for Caldwell City Council members, and some of the results were close.

Bob Sobba, for example, the former police chief, won over incumbent Rick Wells for a seat on the Council with a difference of only 187 votes. Even closer, the incumbent Jim Blacker squeaked into office with only 39 votes more than the contender, Terry Rinearson.

I'll be interested to see what the Caldwell Guardian has to say about this.
