Monday

Monday has always been my favorite day of the week--after Sabbath. Growing up, I loved school. Monday was when the cycle started over again. When I had a desk job, Monday was my chance to make up for my failings of the past week. As a teacher, I relished the sense of a fresh start for myself and for all of my students every Monday. Now that I work for myself when and if I feel like it, the calendar gives me a little bit of an extra incentive to get busy when Monday morning comes around.

My philosophy on Monday goes like this: If I don't get it done, I still have the rest of the week to work on it. If I work at peak efficiency all day long, I might be able to take off a few hours later in the week.
