It's been a laid-back four weeks. Lots of warm, cozy time with family and friends. Way too much to eat. Traveling here and there, never more than 250 miles at a crack. Nice long winter naps. Plenty of sleep.
One of my "retirement" hobbies I'm pursuing is reading. I've always loved to read, but I haven't had time lately.
Here are some of the books I've purchased recently:
Ken Follett: The Pillars of the Earth (not read)
Barack Obama: The Audacity of Hope (not read)
Walter Isaacson: Albert Einstein: His Life and Legacy (read)
Nathaniel Philbrick: Mayflower (read)
Tom Clancey: The Bear and the Dragon (not read)
Stephen Hawking: A Brief History of Time / The Universe in a Nutshell (25% read)
Helen Epstein: The Invisible Cure: Africa, the West, and the Fight Against AIDS (not read)
Fritjof Capra: The Science of Leonardo (not read)
David Halberstam: The Coldest Winter (80% read)
Joseph J. Ellis: American Creation: Triumphs and Tragedies at the Founding of the Republic (not read)
Tom Brokaw: Boom! Voice of the Sixties (not read)
Leo Tolstoy: War and Peace (5% read)
It's OK if spring never comes!
