Weather
They say winter is coming, and I believe them. I've also enjoyed the few days of "spring" that have warmed my back porch and saved on heating bills. I think it was about 58-59 yesterday and 60-61 the day before. This is December!

Leno
I don't know any of the issues, but I miss Jay Leno's monologue and feel we all suffer without someone like him hammering us on what's going on in our narrowly shaped state of existence. I refuse to watch re-runs of The Tonight Show.

Shoulder
I mentioned to my doctor when I saw him last week that I'm tired of a very old rotator cuff injury, which leaves my right shoulder drooping and lifting my arm painful. Today I received a call from the hospital's referral service with an appointment to see a "shoulder doctor" on January 15. It doesn't hurt that bad! But Dr. Mahan says it's not a major procedure if I have surgery to fix it. I have to be careful what I say to my doctor. Did I tell him I prefer cremation?
